The semi-automatic anodising plant supplied by Jacquet Weston
Plant is based on 6ft x 4ft process tanks. All proprietary solutions are supplied by
Henkel. The sequence is as follows:-

Star Anodising also operates a electro brightening service
for stainless steel, with the plant again being supplied by Jacquet Weston.

| Henkel |
Chrome conversion coating of aluminium is carried out in
vats, with Henkel also being sole suppliers of solutions. These include Novaclean
104, a clean-etch-desmut concentrate, which is followed by Novacoat 500 or 501, both being
chromium conversion coatings. Novacoat 500 is yellow oxide type and 501 is a green
phosphate type.
Some off-line anodising work is also carried out, which starts with Novaclean
110 precleaner, etching with Novaetch 202, the desmut with Novox 302. A choice of six
different colours are available.
